The Palinka Museum in Budapest is dedicated to Hungary's most traditional alcoholic beverage: palinka. This ticket gives you access to the museum to explore its exhibitions at your leisure, and to enjoy a 40-minute guided tour with an English-speaking guide at the time of your choice. Your guide will reveal how palinka is made and tell you all about the different ingredients used, like cherries, pears and peaches.
Located in the heart of Budapest, the museum provides a complete journey through the history of a drink that has spiced up the lives of numerous generations of Hungarians.
Guided Tour & Palinka Tasting
When making your reservation, you'll have the option to complete your experience by enjoying an additional tasting of palinka at the end of your guided tour. If you choose this option, your tasting will be conducted by an expert guide who will explain each of the steps followed to make the drink, and you'll then taste 3 different types of palinka.
Museum Opening Times
- The Palinka Museum is open daily from 1 pm to 10 pm.
- The tour is guided by the museum's own guide. Please note that these tours only take place every hour on the hour (i.e. 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, etc.), so if you arrive at half past one or at other times, you'll have to tour the museum on your own, without a guide.
